Bahçeşehir-k12 Schools are collaborating with Bahçeşehir University and CSC (Civilization Studies Center) at the same university in historical studies.

This course focuses on the Middle Eastern history from the foundation of the Ottoman Empire on the borderlands of the Byzantine Anatolia through its expansion into Europe, Asia and Africa, creating a new cultural synthesis including Arab, Greek, Islamic, Mongol, Persian, Slavic and Turkish traditions.

This course is also intended to be a journey of civilizations. Setting off from Mesopotamia, the caravan of civilization travelled through Egypt the Mediterranean region, Iran, and India arriving Anatolia and from there sailing to the Greek Isles. Since the eighth century, Muslims translated the scientific and philosophical works of Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, Iran, Central Asia, and Ancient Greece into Arabic, the shared scientific and cultural language of the Islamic world.

The new understanding of civilization which thus emerged from independent Islamic science and thought became the leading force of the caravan of universal civilization which lasted for many centuries.
